I was inspired by your yellow flowers and used it as the main focus of the painting. I’ve also used gold, red & orange to make the painting more vibrant and dynamic. I wanted your colours to mix with David’s green, I wanted harmony between these colours. The yellow flowers are fragmented and speckled across the canvas; everything is held together by the green stems. The painting is textured at first due to trial and error but then accentuated because I believe it makes the painting more dynamic and tactile. The painting went through many transformations and at the end of the journey it has resulted into tight leafy abstract forms.
